Military Glam

California, particularly the Bay Area, gets a bad rap for dressing too casual. Living in the midst of all the elements, from the mountains to the beach, and walking everywhere calls for practical outfits. When wearing a more casual look, the devil is in the details. Today I'm spending the day with my mom who just flew in from OKC. Despite my affinity towards planning, when she's here we like to just explore around the area and discover new spots. This outfit was perfect for the day because it was super comfortable and had a little bit of flair. Living in Northern California, you always want to bring a jacket with you everywhere given the ever-changing microclimates. I picked up this military-esque jacket at H&M's huge blowout sale last weekend and it has been ideal for the breezy Bay Area evenings.
