Top of the World

Prada blazer Facconable oxford shirt Social Collision skinny fit denim pants Converse Chuck Taylor High top sneakers Guess? Co. chronograph watch Mossimo satchel bag This is my first post of the New Year. I was feeling more dapper than usual, and a little John Hughes 80's cool kid punk. I took to the streets with my friend Lindsey as we set off on yet another adventure together. She took me atop the mountains of Whittier that overlook Los Angeles County. It was an exhilarating feeling and made quite the backdrop for my outfit. A world so vast that you can forget how much it has to offer until you see it all at once. A panoramic view that still doesn't compare to seeing it in person. I chose my blazer over a button up for a Ferris Bueler look. I pulled on my dark wash skinny jeans, rolled up the cuffs to showcase my new favourite kicks, the ultimate teenage staple: Coverse Chuck Taylor's. I wanted red ones because they add a splash of colour to virtually anything and everything. And I had romanticized them since catching Lana Del Rey rock them so gracefully in her "Born To Die" video last year. This sportscoat/blazer fits me like a glove. A great staple piece like this can be worn over a tank, a tee, a button up, a hoodie, anything at all. It serves its function as a wardrobe staple, and fashionably so. What would ANY outfit be without some jewelry-clad arms? I got some new pieces from the Fashion District downtown and Charlotte Russe this past holiday season. I love this bag as it goes with everything. The beautiful bag I wore everyday ended up falling apart right before the Holidays and I was in desperate need of a new one. This makes for a great substitution, though still a bit compact for all the things I carry (and I do carry a lot of things). But it looks so great with everything due it's fine structuring and perfect length.
