Atelier and Repairs' softened up these Keikogi Kendo jackets both literally (they put them through a stone wash to break down the stiff cotton fibers) and metaphorically (a reimagination that renders them useless for combat - their original intent). They've replaced pockets for ones of their own - utilizing vintage Japanese boro fabrics and on others american-inspired quilting fabrics. All feature hand-stitching to transform each jacket into a unique piece.
