These shoes were handmade in Nairobi's inner city as a means of employment and sustainability for the inner city youth, under the guidance of actress Benta Stephanie. The shoes are hand cut, handmade and hand sewn. The top portion of these comfy shoes is made from leso print fabric, a traditional staple from the Eastern region of Africa prominently worn in the coastal regions of Kenya. Underneath, the sole is made from tire tread due to the culture of recycling in that region of the world (nothi
