Art in the Streets

I stumbled upon this Retna contemporary street art this week and I was so inspired. I love finding art in unexpected places, and this one is located at the back of a library parking lot and inspired by literature. Taken from a quote written by novelist and essayist Salmon Rashdie, Retna’s lettering translates to: “Literature is where I go to explore the highest and lowest places in human society and in the human spirit, where I hope to find not absolute truth but the truth of the tale, of the imagination, and of the heart”. Beautiful right? My outfit is a casual look that I normally wear on days when I am running errands around LA. I love these denim shorts and the Steve Madden sneakers. I wore the sneakers while traveling in Europe and they are so comfortable. I just love them! I added this chunky necklace to complete the look which was a great find on Hautelook. I can’t wait to wear it with other items in my wardrobe. :)
