Bixby Bridge

One of my favorite things about the Bay Area is how easy it is to take weekend trips to beautiful, scenic areas. We did a relaxing, weekend trip to Carmel, Monterey & Big Sur for my birthday. On the drive back from Big Sur, we decided to stop for a photo op next to the Bixby Bridge.. Thankfully I was wearing my down, puffer vest since it was pretty chilly. We had just finished hiking at Pfeiffer Big Sur State Park. The hike was not too difficult and offered a view of both the valley and a waterfall. Highly recommend it for leisure hikers. it allowed us to work up an appetite for dinner!
