shall we?
http://longlostloveblog.tumblr.com/post/44380772725/shall-we
To state the obvious- I love fashion. So I do things like read Grace Coddington’s (American Vogue’s current Creative Director) memoirs because her life is basically a dream to all fashion industry hopefuls. I think it’s easy to perceive the industry as surface level and superficial. But read one chapter of Grace’s memoirs or watch HBO’s documentary “The Editor’s Eye”, and you’ll be convinced that it’s truly something more. It’s a lifestyle, it’s a form of art, it’s whatever you want it to be. Fashion is for anyone and everyone. It’s what drives my motivation, keeps me inspired, and feeds my passion for life. It embraces all that is life and all that is love. It’s truly an amazing thing.
You don’t have to believe me, but I hope you’ll try. Just as I’m trying everyday to turn my dreams into reality.
“At Calvin I learned to think fast, act fast, move fast. Anna had taught me that nothing is forever, ‘Let’s just move on, shall we?’ she will invariably say because she knows you can’t dwell on things you unfortunately cannot change.”
