Wandering around these docks, I began to remember why Southern California will always have a place in my heart. To my right was the yacht club where I attended cotillion for the majority of my seriously awkward adolescent years, to my left was the street where I had my first (and hopefully last) retail job, and behind me were the canals where I wandered the streets during the holiday season with someone very near and dear to my heart. As you get older, more and more memories flood back to you in bits and pieces. But at the same time, so many start to fade away into a haze of indistinguishable emotions.
