In his London-based hair salon at the close of the 1960s, Joseph Ettedgui watched the modern woman come into her own, discovering her own individualized style and finding confidence in her femininity. Wanting to offer this contemporary woman a place to explore sartorial creativity, Ettedgui opened his first boutique, which offered specialty collections and showcased unknown designers.
