This mochila is made out of seed beeds, woven by hand by the Embera Chami indigenous community, based in Pereira - Colombia. The Embera artisans tell stories through their amulets. Every seed beed color is meaninful because it honors human life: blue represents the sky, the sea and space; red means blood, human race; nature translates into green shades; yellow means gold, sun and happiness; orange and purple represent flowers, and the white seedbeeds represent peace.
