Ikat & Chambray + Blog Design & J. Crew Sunglasses Giveaway!!

This easy to throw on outfit is from last week, when Shane and I decided to try a new restaurant in midtown. Evelyn & Olive has been there for a couple years, but we had never heard of it. They serve Jamaican Southern cuisine. I wasn't quite sure was Jamaican Southern food was, but now I know, and it's amazing! If you love spicy Jamaican food with a southern comfort food twist, you'll love this place. The place was pretty small, and we almost missed it while driving by. They didn't have live music that night, but I believe the sign said they do on the weekends. I got the Salt & Pepper Shrimp for an appetizer. They were lightly breaded with garlic pepper and served with boom boom sauce. This was the best shrimp I think I've ever had. The breading was very light and the sauce had just a little kick to it. Shane had the Jamaican Style Jerk Chicken Wings and said they were amazing. After he finished those, he placed another order for some to take home and eat the next day (though I'm not sure many made it pas his midnight snack.) If you're in the area, you'll definitely want to try out Evelyn & Olive. And now I'm hungry. = )
